Tester shows 95%

Stopped at Meijer and bought $0.20 worth of E85. Tested it when I got home and it shows 95% on the separation line after I mixed and shook the water and fuel in the testtube. Does that mean that it has absorbed 10% water?

No...

but you need a larger sample than .20 cents worth

It was enough to fill the test tube at least twice.

I will typically sample it after a few gallons .. the first gallon goes in my mower

I let the sample sit until today. Now it reads like E86. I think that is close enough.

Vegas E85 tested at 85% bought last weekend. Must be on the summer blend now. I just got my tester last week so have no other tests to compare it with. Curious to see what fall and winter blends will test at. I got my sample at the end of the fill when the pump slows down.
