TH-2004R identification by numbers

Hello,

anybody care to explain how to exactly find out the model year of the tranny? How are they marked and where? Any good links to sites?

Am about to buy a 1990 (or that's what the seller says) 4R and just want to be sure.



I need your help.

BTW, 130$ is an ok price, right? Of course it's not rebuilt but will soon be by me.

Some other Qs:
I want to keep the valvebody and fluidwize gear engagement somewhat like-original but it MUST hold a great deal of torque, say like 600 ft-lbs.
So, HiPerf discs and the other stuff is needed. Who can sell me the things that I need along with mod. instructions?

So i want it to last but do NOT want to equip it with a real shiftkit.
