I don't know if I am posting this in the right section or not, but here goes. My friend has a 1970 Chevrolet C10 truck. His transmission ( or torque converter) went out. He replaced the transmission with one that is supposed to be rebuilt. He used the torque converter that was previously in the truck. He went to drive it after everything was hooked up and no go. He said absolutely nothing happens when you put it in gear. Is there a way to check if the torque converter needs replacing? Or should he just get a different tranny?
