I'm thinking about putting a 350 trans in my GN. What are the pros and cons? I did a search and didnt get much. I know I will probably lose a little streetability, but I dont really care about that. What else should I know?

Pro: Most parts in it will take a fair amount of horsepower without needing mods to them.

Con: No overdrive, so more rpms cruising down the road, using more gas & causing faster engine wear. No lockup unless you use a lockup version of the 350. Higher parasitic power loss than a 200-4R.

Parasitic power loss is the amount of power that the trans will consume due to the mass of its internal parts, friction, etc....it represents a portion of "drivetrain losses" on a chassis dyno.

I don't know for sure, but there may be an electrical connector on the side of the case.

And the input shaft will have a little machined "tip" on the end with an O-ring like the 200-4R does.
