TH400 Fluid Fill ???

how many quarts did you TH400 guys use to fill a new rebuild TH400 w/deep pan /converter/cooler ? I'm I have about 9 liters (9.5 quarts) in and having a hard time seeing the reading on a braided type dipstick tube . thanks .

Uhhhh, no. It's not a differential; you don't do it that way.

figured it out , used a piece of removable tape on the stick . showed/easier to read the level . 10 L total including 1 L for the TC when installed .

yep,that's the sameway I do my engine oil . and if I take the DS breather off and look in .I can actualy see the oil level .

yep , that's what I had done on my 200R4 , worked great .but I was a little concern seeing that the flex tube dip stick is plastic and not metal. not sure how well the paint would stick to it .
