ok so recently the car has started to shfit out of 1st too soon......it only seems to do it when from a roll in first and then you lay into it. So then all the boost is in second and the car does not perform like it should.

It does like it should from a stop stays in 1st all the way through and has a great shift. I did adjust the cable at the track last time I was there because it would shift too soon from the launch. Around town the car shifts great but also every now and then the tv valve gets hung up.....was out cruising last night left a stop light 1\4 throttle maybe and it stayed in 1st too long and when it shifted sencond it was so hard I thought I broke something.

If I go more pressure on the TV cable I think I am going to be too much.

Any ideas?

Should replace the TV & Sleeve before Trans damage is done.

Ok so you think the cable is worn out?

I can understand that a worn cable can cause the valve to hang and cause a hard shift.....would it also go the other way causing the early shift?

Binding TV cable can cause many problems, early, late or no shift.
I was referring to the TV/ThrottleValve 'Plunger' in the Valvebody may binding/sticking in the TV sleeve which can cause the same problems.

oh ok the actual valve.....I am going to buy tha new cable anyway since I have never replaced it......I need to drop the pan anyway to service the trans so I will pull the valve body and inspect the TV valve.

Thank you!
