Carl: Are you going to bring your GN this year? I recall that you had it running like a scalded ape several years ago.

Phil Engle
It went 10.13 @ 132 on drag radials (1.61 60') and 23# of boost a few years ago and almost did not get it slowed down enough to make the final turn at the end of Dallas Raceway. I was puckered up for sure. I began removing things for upgrades and it spiraled into perpetual motion down from there. I am at the point now where I need to spend about $6-7k to put it back together in a way that meets my vision. About $5k of that will probably be with GNS Performance. After factoring in my children becoming teenagers soon, there is not much room left for it to happen in a relative short period of time. It kills me to not be there with my quickest option, but you know that whole family first thing rings true.......and it rings often.

might be a dumb question but what does it mean when it says NHRA rules enforced ?

It is a NHRA sanctioned track so there are rules they have to go by. The ones that will affect you the most is you'll need a helmet if faster than 13.99, you'll need a roll bar if faster than 11.49. A drive shaft loop is required if you run slicks etc. There is a lot more as you get faster. You can google NHRA rules if you want. Hope this helps

Exactly. Keep the boost turned down during time trials. For the elimination run turn it back up.

Are you telling him to sandbag David? For shame, for shame!:ROFLMAO:
Your DAMN right I am! Here is what the Fords will do. They will only spray in the Eliminations. They'll be a 12.50 car in time trials then in the final run they are a high 10. I say give em a taste of there own medicine. I'll run 15lbs in time trials. In the finals I'll run 22!

You better bump that to 25 or better David. Make them feel like kids getting spanked.;)

James: Glad to hear from you and that you guys are coming to the Shootout. I'll get you on the list.

This site was pretty much abandoned after last years race and most have moved to FaceBook for their information. I'm not too shot in rear with that but technology is technology.

That picture sums up 80% of Ford Rustang's, on jack stands or needing to be on jackstands.

Yesss!! People are talking about the shootout on here finally . I don't have Facebook so I am in the dark a little. I can't wait to see what times my car will turn with my new setup. Probably will get lined up with a 9 sec ford I have been trying to get as many cars to show for team Buick as I can. it seems only right that we win the 20th annual event
