For those of you that are really interested in engines, Sir Harry Ricardo's *The High Speed Internal Combustion Engine*, is now another reprint, and available in at least England.
It's the 5th edition,

It's a great layman's language book about engine design, and combustion.
Maybe goggling for it will lead to other sources for it, even if you don't want to read it right away, I suggest getting a copy just to have. Getting one of the remaining copies, on the library lend program, was getting time consuming.
