The Best HI-Rez Printer

My piece of chit printer just went away, with a little help of my fist. So what's the best HI-Rez printer any of you used or know of? I want something that prints photo quality. I had HP and it sucked and an Epson many years ago and it rocked for many years. I also would like a built in scanner. Any suggestions with experience of the product would be appreciated. thanks.

Brother MFC-490CW

I bought this back in January and have been very happy with it. I previously had two HP's before it and constantly was bitten by dried out ink carts.
I especially like how Brother actually makes drivers for Linux.
I have printed one or two photos on 8.5x11 photo paper and have been thoroughly impressed (no borders, vivid colors, etc.) which contradicts the CNET review.
I don't have a home phone line, so I've never used the fax feature. However, I have used it as a copier and scanner which is helpful to have around on occasion.
