 With the stock downpipe, test pipe, Torque Tech (Hooker style) 2.5 cat back, the answer is Dynamax Ultraflows!
The idle sound is the same as the Super Turbo's but the drone is gone.

Hah, I hate discussing "drone" on these cars, because everyone says something different. I bought AeroChambers because everyone told me that the ultraflows were bad for drone. I guess there's too many variables to ever be sure.

Ultraflows will drone, but its at around 1600-1800 RPM. Because even the stock converter stalls to 2400 RPM and the car is rarely in the 1600-1800 RPM range, the drone is rarely a problem.

I put ultraflows on every TR I have and love them.

Id say every v6 droans because its a v6 charteristic(spelling) kinda like a v10 has a droan..just an odd ball sound differnet from the normal v8s weve always known..I have ultraflows & still have the droan that I guess worries everyone but never really bothered me..I also had the sonic turbos before & never really bothered me there either..I love the ultra flow performance though..

Wanna get rid of the drone?

Put a thdp or atr downpipe on the car with a hooker cat back and it wont drone.

I did this on my car and my dads car and neither have a drone... his has aerochambers and mine has sonic turbo flows,..if you experience some droning, then speed up ;)

That's good to know. In my driving environment, 1600RPM is normal.

You will probably still get drone with ultraflows, then.

In texas, nobody drives 50-55 mph anywhere, so I would never see 1600 RPM.

Hooker Maximum-Flow muffflers are identical in construction (straight-thru), but are not available in stainless, and are cheaper. $60 from Summit.

I have an ATR 3" downpipe and the Hooker 2.5 catback system on my car with the Hooker Aerochambers, I love it no Drone!!
