The Hellcat has been beaten to death like a red headed step child, by every "Hot Rod" editor on the planet. I find it refreshing to find a different spin on things. I thought it was entertaining. I am a 3rd GN owner and fit in with that demographic. I got it as a $7k high mileage beater - divorce sale. I was 22 and talked my wife (then girlfriend) into selling her car to come up with the money for this one. I was a full time college student and part time Costco 1 hour photo worker. I initially was doing some really stupid stuff with this car before the BGNRA guys (Neal Steward, Jason Hall, Mack, Freddy) set me straight. If I had a Hellcat in that time of my life, it would have been bad for many reasons. I personally think the Hellcats are too limited production to really find their way into the hands to too many fools. My guess is that they will all be trashing R/T's and a few SRT's.

Interesting but I also don't agree with it. it'll be too exclusive for most 20somethings and the few that can afford it will be buying the most expensive thing they've ever bought, and will arguably be more careful than the douche that can shit $60k on a whim for a new one. How do I know? bought my gn when I was 20 (4th owner btw) and was terrified of it, most money id ever spent on anything at the time, kept it covered and wouldn't let anyone breathe on the damn thing. My priorities have shifted since then.

And even if it were true itd still be a better scenario than when the 60s muscle cars were all dirt cheap and riding on 14 inch polyglas gts with no traction aids, and the majority of THAT generation is still here to tell us how much better the 60s cars are...

They will still bring a decent coin in 10 years. They should have somewhat of a collector value. The srt8 models hold their value pretty well. If they get dirt cheap, i will get a whole fleet, and drive around like the Duke boys. Maybe even paint them all line the general lee.

I am the third owner of my GN as well. It is the most money I have ever spent on a used car , (even a little more than my airplane I just sold --- and my plane was very sweet and well taken care of by the previous owner. ) Since I spent so much of my hard earned cash on it, and sinc it is in such very good shape, I take *really* good care of it. But, I *am* 58 years old and a bit more responsible than I was at 20. I drove my BB chevelle pretty stupid at times, then and am quite lucky I didn't bash it into something or worse, someone else. And it only had 400hp. God only knows what could have happened if it had 700.

As one who knows a lot about 60's era muscle cars, I believe our TB's are far superior -- in almost every way. Back then, my friends had SB andBB mopars , 'vettes, all kinds of vintage stuff. No comparison to a TB. Back then, if you even *could * run 10's in the quarter, the thing wouldn't be very street able , like TB's can.
