Thickness of 2 sided tape on hardtop trim around windows

I have removed all the trim from my car and am ready to start putting it back together. What is the thickness of the two sided tape that goes around the top of the windows. It goes underneath the trim that the window weatherstrip sets in.

it was some kind of foam with an adheasive backing. i used standard grey 3m two sided tape (1/2" wide, 1/16 thick) and made a couple of passes to get the width right.i thought at first it took up some space/distance,then realized it was there to help eliminate rattles IMHO.worked great,HTH, Gary.

I thought it was a water seal? Anyway water will seap past it if there is any type of a gap. I use the black urethene to reseal/glue the weatherstrip and retainer to the roof. The same stuff you would use on the windshield and quarter glass.

Thanks for the help guys. I will pick up the tape next weekend and start putting the trim back on, then later this winter I'll install all the weatherstripping.
