Mace? Ask a mail man. It affect them just like it does us. What I mean is, it affects some, while not messing with other dogs. I guess there's specific stuff for dogs, which the letter carriers utilize. I'm not sure it would affect a really determined animal though.

What would a can of mace do to a dog? Serious question.
Mace Muzzle is the brand utilized on Dogs. But all will work with some degree.

Most now are derivatives of hot cayenne peppers. OC is an inflammatory agent and unlike tear gas it is effective on those under the influence of drugs and alcohol. Even the eyes of a dog are susceptible. The capillaries of the eyes will immediately dilate, causing temporary blindness. Althought they can and sometimes will still bite.

I have never shot a dog. I will first try my Taser but my Taser is on my weak side and when a blood thirst dog is coming at your muscle memory will tell you to draw ur gun.

We had some azzhole last week get stopped on the highway. He was a suspect for pointing a gun at someone from his car. He had a large Pit in his car and left the windows open. The dog chased two cops around the car requiring the cops to shoot the dog. Mind you, it took 4 shots with a .40 cal before it went down. Pits can withstand quite a bit of pain.

Needless the say, the azzhole didn't get what his dog got but something similar without the bullets. He killed his dog. Not us.

Poor doggy.. That owner obviously didn't care about his dog whatsoever.... I can only imagine what kind of person it was.

Once many years ago I had a motion sensors go off a department store after closing. The police responded and because so many had been tripped we were sure someone was in the building. Even K-9 could not find anyone. We reset and sat outside. Sure enough the culprit moved again and set off the alarms. We seached again and found no one. We watched every emergency exit all night to make sure no one got out. Upon opening the next morning the police watched everyone going in and coming out until we caught the one coming out that did not enter.

He was a 10 year old kid who was being abused and did not want to go home anymore so he hid in the store until they locked up and he took nothing. K-9 said the dogs they had are not trained to look for kids (different odors). I'm not sure how true that is but the kid said he was hiding under a bed in the linen department and could hear the dogs but they never found him. I'm glad they didn't. The cops bought him breakfast and took him to social services.

Is it true they are not trained to look for kids?
