On jury duty this week myself. This is the 5th or 6th time i've been called.Kind of lost count.Served on a hung jury once and a mistrial once. Thought that would keep me from ever being selected again. But they seamed to like a man with experience so i'm on a trial that began this afternoon.Think the judge only works in the afternoon as we don't need to be there until 1:30 Pays $10 a day plus mileage. My employer pays ,so no lost wages. Now if I only had my heads & rockers I could finish my engine with this free time.

Once I got called for Petit Jury Duty in TX. The case before was a case of public intoxication. Where was this dastardly deed of lawlessness committed in a bar of all places. So we all went back to deliberate the facts of the case and someone said let's just take a vote all 6 people voted to let the guy go because 1) He was in a bar and he wasn't hurting anyone there and 2) It was downright unsporting of the officer to hunt over a baited field.

For about a month afterward that constable followed all of us around trying to catch us at something.
