thinking of going external wastegate also questions about buickgn.com's setup

So I have a 3" Terry Houston downpipe now, but I am buying a new turbo and while I'm in the process, I think I want to go with an external wastegate setup. I have seen buickgn.com's setup and I am wondering if anyone has any experience with this, and I'd like their feedback.

I want to know who makes the wastegate and how reliable it is. Would I be better off with a bare downpipe and having a PTE 46mm put in or going with a Tial or HKS setup? I don't want to be poor in this endeavor, but I'm full appreciative of the "get what you pay for" principle.

Any ideas or suggestions?

If your going to go to an external gate take a look at the JGS Wastegates and BOV's. Really nice, great quality and American Made! We know several racer that have made the move from "other" name brands and have far fewer issues.

i love my pte 46mm gate its super well made. just plumb it off the pass side header then dump it back into the down pipe.
