I've got a 4.1 that's currently out of the car waiting for time to put it back in. When I spec'd the custom pistons out the deck ended up not needing as much of a clean up as I thought so the pistons are now 0.030 in the hole and compression is in the high 7's. Since this engine is in a 4000lb '64 Riviera I need a bit more compression for torque off boost. The slugs aren't quite far enough down to swap to 6.0in rods and still have enough piston to head clearance. The only thought I've had that seems to work is thinner headgaskets from the FelPro 1000's I've got on engine now. Been considering the 0.027in compressed cometics (8.05 compression), anyone know of any thinner gaskets that will work with my 3.995in bore?
