Quote from listing:Everything under the hood, meaning Engine, transmission, very expensive radiator, headers, distributor cap, convertor, carborator, transmission cooler, electric cooling fan, & etc. ='s $16,000,

HUH? 16k under the hood?..where/?.. maybe the radiator cost him 8k and cant forget that distributor cap...that had to have set him back another grand

I see dozens and dozens of cars just like that on the road everyday and I can't help but get sick everytime I see a classic ruined. I've seen an early 70s Chevelle with huge rims and fugly paint before and I just wanted to slap the owner. What the hell are people thinking when they do this!? It's really funny though when the owners think their car is fast and try to race you with those big rims FROM A STOP,only to see them break an axle or spin like crazy when you leave them in the dust.

I realize it may not be YOUR taste - and it certainly isnt mine - BUT. That is a regal that would otherwise be sitting in a junkyard rusting away. If you look at that car up close (and again, to me, that is one icky color and I am only into tires over 30" on my Jeep) - but there is a huge amount to money and attention to detail in those cars.

People doing that AT LEAST keeps it from the junkyard.... Rusting away and getting crushed is what is truly killing the classics. At least these people are keeping them out of the junkyards and on the road. Someone "could" buy that and with some paint and interior work, bring it back to normal - much easier then a moldy, rusty, smashed wreck in a junkyard.

Try to keep an open mind on this stuff - these are the new "car enthusiasts". Whether we like it or not - they are "car crazy" and somewhere in there we share a common bond in that to us - a car is more then just transportation.

I agree with your reasoning tjthorson. I would not like to see a classic going to crap in a junkyard. But I get really pissed when I see a really nice classic, like the Chevelle I mentioned or a first gen Camaro, basically blinged up. I don't know aboout your area but where I live those who own cars like that are not car enthusiasts IMO. They do not do ANY of the work themselves. They just throw money into the car and then they flaunt them. I understand that not everyone knows everything about cars but at least they could do some of the work themselves. IMO a real car enthusiast is one who gets joy out of owning a classic and puts some effort of his own into building his car.

Take the rims off and put some normal rims and tires on it and put the suspension down a bit lower (I assume it's been raised several inches) and hell I'd drive it, I kinda like that green and the interior is pretty clean.

As for the drivetrain as long as he didn't remove a turbo motor I wouldn't be very bothered about the Chevy motor, personally, some 400 small block Chevy power is fine by me!

But man do I hate some bigass rimz though.

He would have been crazy to remove a turbo motor simply for the value. Even better would be a turbocharged 400!;)

At least the color is cool

Set it on the ground with 19s or so, tint the windows and put a good stereo in it:)

No way!!!!!! I cant dig that GREEN interior the out side ok. The tires GOT TO GO!!!!! But ya it is the new age sad to say it. :(

Nothing wrong with that engine, it's one of the best and most powerful out there. Far better than probably what the car came with.

But the rest of it is hideous. And yes if that were a true TR it would've been a sin.

Showed the wife the car (she not a fan of buicks) but boy did she about vomit. She said"If i did that and she would shoot me." I think that was more over the money that would be wasted to do it.

I just sent him this:

Hi...I would like to......HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHa! Sorry. I meant to say how did........HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH! Oh, ****. Sorry. Okay, for real. Did you have to........HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!

Seriously, I would like to thank you for the most humorous (that means funny!) thing I have seen all day. The attention to detail that has been given to this fine automobile is downright breathtaking. And, KUDOs (that means Good Job!) on your stunning use of english and spelling accuracy in your description.
