Sorry to hear that Dave. Like to think I am not either as I work in a nursing home in charge of Maintenance for my day job. Doing the whole building myself right now as my assistant took a flop on the ice he was supposed to be putting salt down on.

Got a feeling something is going to happen like pay cuts at least.

Maybe you can do a Buick tuning consultant business on the side?

I shouldn't complain about working 12 hr days.I've been working more than i want.Human plasma business is expanding.Company has hired 30 plus since last fall.No new hires for my area so we just suck it up and work 12 hr days. Sorry to hear of all you guys getting laid off.You might consider selling your blood as extra income.Be a paid plasma doner. Good luck to all of you.

They almost layed off (20) cops in our PD last year. They laid off all the parks department police officers and have no plans on rehiring them. Things are tight. We got an 11% raise but the first two years are 0%. The following two years we will see the 11% raise.

Can't imagine being layed off. Gotta be a scary feeling and I don't even have a family to support. I feel for you guys with families. Don't know how you manage.

About the only people that come close to "lay off proof" are active duty military. But they don't call it "lay off" there as you know.

Welcome to the line bro! The best that i can say that you can do is find something that your good at and do it from your home. I am casting lead bullets and selling them to a local gun store. Gun market is going nuts! Its not a lot of money but it helps out. I hope that it works out on your end. Iam in 1 of the worst states for unemployment The lovely state of Ohio.
