...first off I don't have a turbo Regal......but I want one. I've put a want ad in the forums....

Instead I have a carbed n/a Regal. :frown: Yeah it's slow like a turtle but I like it....not because it's slow but because it's a 1 owner Florida car, very little rust, a few minor dings, but still runs like a top. You could pretty much call my car a survivor albeit the faded paint and the partially worn interior....it's 98% the same as it rolled off the showroom floor.

I'm going to be returning from a deployment in Afghanistan in a few weeks. When I get home I plan to look into getting a loan and hopefully finding myself a nice well kept '86-'87 T type. Of course that means I'll have to sell my Regal. :( But I have had a few people ask me already if I wanted to sell since it's such a clean car for being 22 years old....so I don't think I'll have a problem in selling.

For now, here's my two toys:

Good luck on your search for Turbo.

Thanks for your service over there, I really appreciate what you do for us. God Bless and have a safe return home.

Welcome and hope you have a safe trip home. Good luck finding a GN there are plenty out there.

Jason

Thanx, really looking for a T type. I think they look better than a GN, not that GN's aren't nice cars.

Hat's off to you and all in the military. I wish you a safe trip home to further your quest and find a TR that is a beautiful as that Nova! :)

Thanx for the comments.

I sent my wife some pics of what a T type for sale here looked like, told her I wanted one, that I'd get the loan, etc.....of course she's afraid I'm going to spend money foolishly....though I told her I'd sell my truck and my Regal to buy one if I were approved for a loan....but she's thinking about upgrading from her Civic if we end up having kids.

Heck I just want to get my toys now so when it comes time for a kid I have mine. I figure one fast street car for me, one car for my wife, the Nova is going to my grave with me and the Chevelle can go on the backburner if need be....it's mostly complete anyways....though I've got plans for it too. :)

noWAY. i never hear it called fayettenam anymore lol. no ****. usually only 82nd guys call it that. are you attached to division? .
well keep your head down, your weapon clean, and watch your 6 o'clock at all times. good luck in your search when you get home. NICE chevelle by the way. you could sell that and get a sweet buick.

Not with the 82nd, I'm actually with the Air Force. :D Stationed at No Hope Pope.

I had considered selling the Chevelle but being that musclecar prices are on the rise I probably would never find another one for the same coin I payed for mine ($2500 in 2004). Then I invested over $7000 in it since then.

It would take some serious cash to pry it apart from my hands.
