First off, Congradulation Cruz on your win and your TSM ET record until Dick made his pass R & D Racing (you and your counterpart Richie) was flying. You guys showed us yanks how to do it with class. Both of your guys best passes surpassed the previous record.
Jason, why is it everytime we race you pull a trick out of your bag, thanks for giving me the race. Your .004 light would have put me on the trailer if you hadn't done your back wheel ballet. I thought for sure you were going to trade paint with me and or the wall, you did a hell of a job to save it.
Dick, what can I say, a 9.14 is unbelievable. We were at the scales when you came down the track with your Zimmerman engine was just a singing. I believe it was Richie that said that is a 148 mph but he was off about .89 mph (148.89). By the way Dick, did you find that SOB that stole your slicks?
Roy I was glad to meet you again. You are going to have to start making more than one race a year so I don't have to tell the "BOSS LADY" who you are. You and Laz did a most excellent job in administrating TSM in the absence of Lonnie and Scott.
Don, Nice to meet you and good luck with the trucks and don't give up on the car yet.
Cal, Holly, Dick and Julie, your hospitality was exceptional as always. Thanks Cal with the help with the tune. The problem is not with the tune so much, it is how I am putting it to the wheels
For all the TSM competitors that think that the class is getting too fast, let me say this, if you were running 9.80 up north you would have been in the 9.60's at Reynolds. There was some big numbers at Oceola, that would have been near the top of the pack at Reynolds.
I am glad to have driven my car into the trailer at the end of the race. I had two seasons of low to high 9 sec passes on this drivetrain, until recently I have never had the heads off the car. Do I need to say anything else about my Extreme Automatics/Excessive Accelleration power train. My performance at Reynolds would have been better had I been able to sort the suspension out. It would get on the back tires and then shake them so bad, that it would leave bald spots on the track about a foot apart . But I still managed a personal best of 9.38 and a best of 145.98 mph. I am happy!!!!
