Does the 100 have more timing at part throttle? I've noticed knock between 5 and 10 lbs - no alcohol spray - 93 fuel.

TIA

The 100 has a lot more timing than the 92 or 93 thrasher.

With a 92, my car never ran better than low 8's in the 1/8 mile at 83-84 mph. With the stock turbo/intercooler and injectors the car went 7.7's @ 89 with the T100. Big power difference.

I know it's got more timing at WOT, but is this true for part throttle also?

My guess is yes. I put the 92 back in and the knock is virtually gone.

Yes it has more part throttle timing also. In the 5-10psi range you mentioned, it has approx. 4-6 degrees more than the 92 version.

Eric

Thanks for the replies guys.
Perhaps it's time to ante up for an alcohol chip that gives me "93 manners" until WOT. The 100 certainly is a butt dyno difference. :D

So you ran the 100 octain chip with 93 and no alky? Do you mean your alky was not spraying at the 5-10 lbs and then spraying at WOT? I'm alittle confused. Have you tried the 100 chip (no alky at all) with straight 100 octain fuel or 93+xylene to compare? I think that would be interesting to try.

T100, fuel is 93, with alky. Alcohol does not spray until ~10 lbs, so I was seeing knock before the spray. Actually I was trying to regulate acceleration and happened to keep boost below 10 when I noticed it.

Ok so the knock happened before your spray kicked on. Wonder if a progressive system would help that?

Yes, the Thrasher 100 will have more timing than the 93 everywhere, except idle, to take maximum advantage of the extra octane of the fuel your "supposed" to put in the tank.

If you, like most that buy these 97 or 100 chips, are going to run 93 octane gas and spray beer in the inlet stream, you have to compensate accordingly.
