What are thread specs for threaded holes in tranny for cooler lines? Wanting to run an external cooler and trying to determine the thread specs for inlet/outlet openings in the tranny case. Anyone? How large -AN fitting/hose should I run to get max flow/min pressure drop to cooler.

i don't know what the actual threads are in the case- i don't think they are a regular NPT pipe thread- but the flared fittings that the hardlines go into are 5/16" flared tube fittings.
you can get bigger fittings for a 3/8" hardline from a 94-96 Caprice with the HD cooling (cop car, wagon, etc) and maybe pickups.

Case cooler threads are 1/4 in.-18 NPSM / NationalPipeStraightMale. Most use AN -6 size.

Jegs has some nice Hose & Fitting combo kits, may be cheaper than seperate prices. Just make sure they're long enough.
