Well this weekend was my first real test of my installation of the alky kit from Razor.

Well let me tell you first off the car felt super strong. I ran a best of 12.09 at 113 with a crappy 1.90 short time. I know that isn't super fast but this is only my second time to the track ever and on complete untouched stock suspension. I was running 25lbs with methanol. I had only 2.5* of knock about mid track and that was due to tire spin which was supressed right away. Other than that I had no knock at all. My 02's were between 790-820 on every run. I know for a fact this car is an 11.80 car. One of my runs my mph was up to 115 which is 11 second range. I need to work on my short time though which will get me into the 11's. Cecil is coming up so we will see :) .

Just wanted to give a little praise and show anybody that is thinking about this kit better jump on it because the car ran so great all day.

Thanks,

My combo is located in the siggy.

nice run joe
your first pass wasnt too shabby either

2.029
5.231
7.890
92.35
9.242
12.146
114.70

if you can get the launch down to around 1.6 with 114.7 that will be enough to get you the boot without a bar in the car , 22.2 pickup!!

mine wasnt running bad either
after running all last month on a TT 98 "street" chip (non alky 22*/20*, 22-24psi with 2 degrees timing added and fuel at 5% out , 60-62% inj duty at 5650 ) decided sunday last minute to try my old TT race chip (non alky 26*/25*, 24-26psi) , dropped timing down 1* to 25/24 , knowing i have 70% at 5600 I and took out 10% WOT fuel (now 63% inj duty works out to 47.25# fuel )

still didnt get to doing the violet wire for the alky to allow launching above 6psi without hurting the spoolup so launch boost was set to 6psi , no wheelies today :(
1.642 11.097 121.81
1.703 11.090 123.46

looked fat - 1500 egt ,and was only picking up 24- 24.5 mph at top end , took out a little alky (now at 10:00) and added 1psi boost

1.610 10.884 125.20 (99.46 1/8 , 25.74 mph pickup)
egt 1650 so increased alky slightly on last pass and it was a bit too much at top as mph reflects but 1/8 mph was up to 100.13
1.612 10.891 124.63

Yes, thank you very much. Enjoyed talking with you in the pits. How did you do in the Q16? Your car is setup really nice. Are you going to hit Cecil next month?

I know once I get those short times down I might see some decent 11 sec runs. I wouldn't mind bragging that my car was kicked off because it was to fast without a bar lol that sounds cool if you think about it... J/K..

Thanks again for the help and Turbo Rod pin tip.

Q-16 ...went out first round
little early on the tree :D
i pre staged he pre staged
i staged and started to build after car stopped rocking somewhere around 5 seconds in he still hadnt staged so i lifted and then i started to build again
looking at DS he took nearly 15 seconds after i staged to bump into his last beam
most competition rules that would get you an immediate foul out
but he was good off the tree and caught a great light so i doubt i would have gotten past him anyway

Ahh sorry to hear that. I was elimnated first round in B-1 as well. I dialed in with 12.10 to his 11.99 . He ran 12.96 to my 12.73. I am still a little confused on how that works . I though it was whoever gets closer to their dial in without going below. Maybe I got it wrong. I had a whole bunch of tire spin on that run.

the time you took to leave the light factors in
if he cut a .100 and you a .700 then he has only to be within 6 tenths of his dial to win even if you run on your dial

have to get out from the tree before your competitor to have a chance unless he is really off on his dial

12.10 to his 11.99 . He ran 12.96 to my 12.73.

he was .97 off his dial and you were .63 off yours
if there was more than a .341 diff in Reaction Times to his favor than he is the winner , he tree'd you!!

There it is. Yup you are right. I looked at that and didn't know if that was factored in at all.

Thanks.

Joe congrats.. not a bad start.. many wish their cars ran this good with so little..

Keep at it.. Pauly is the best at paying attention to details..

;)

Joe..

That voltbooster may be hurting ya down low.. and if you take it off.. bump the alky a tad.

Yeah? I know I saw people ask about it but didn't think anything of it. I really dont know if I am benifitting from it so much to be honest. I will take a look at cecil and see what she can do in the short time.

If you have any other tips that might help me out please dont be shy..lol...

I was running rich towards the top end of the track any ideas what could change that?

Thanks,

Dude.. leave the tuneup at the top end of the track alone. Do not change a thing. Its picking MPH like a mofo :)

Work on 60 foot and 330 foot.. get those down.. then work on getting your 1/8 MPH higher. Make the car angry at the start of the track. Add timing, spike the boost, etc.. you'll be running 11.40's in no time with a decent 60 and track tuning.

Alright. that is what I want to work on. I will leave everything else alone. thanks a bunch.
