Tie rod hole wallowed out, need help

I have a 89 chevy 4X4 that has a 4" lift (Trailmaster) and the peice that the tie rods, pitman arm and idler arm connect to, the hole for the right inside tie rod is wallowed out and causes the truck to shimmy at speed.

I was thinking that there was a repair bushing for this but I cant remember. Sso my question it what or how do I fix this.

No repair for that centerlink. Replacement only + a new tie rod end. That's kinda scary that it did wallow out. Is everything in alignment with the lift kit? I know some kits require relocation of various factory components.

I had a wheel bearing go bad which in turn wore the tire at a angle, and that bad tire was the cause of the problem for the tie rod.

I could have swore that I saw some sort of kit that had a thing that looked like a bushing that had the hole for the tie rod to go into and you had to drill the center link hole out and press the bushing into it.

I've never seen a repair kit for the center link as you have described, and if it existed, I sure wouldn't put it on - sounds unsafe.

IMO, don't mess around even if you do find such a kit, - especially if you have to drill anything related to your steering linkage!

Just get a new centerlink and tie-rod end and be done with it. If you were to break that link or a tie-rod end at speed on a vehicle like yours which has been raised up, you will probably roll the truck and possibly die, or at the very least have a VERY bad day.
