If it was one of the scres that hold the coil pack to control module then I can tell you that it can make a lovely arc of the coil to that screw. AM

I guess it is worth a try. I have a hot air so I switched up to the gen 2 set up. Maybe someone else has done such a repair? I think the coil towers are about $ 80 through Delco supplier or Caspers. AM

crack in the coil

I hate when that happens! I don't know if you had it a little out of kilter, but this is the first time I have heard of the problem. Try the other suggestion, see if it helps. Good luck! I would definitely think this could cause a misfire.

Did I hear someone mention junk? :D Just try it out. There are many coilpaks that develop these cracks when tightening down the coilpak to the module too tightly. If it does arc, I don't see why you couldn't put some type of glue to seal and insolate it. A word to the wise, if you take these components apart, coilpak from ignition module, don't get too overzealous tightening the screws when assembling. Snug is good. ;)
