well finally the hall called an im back to work........now to get back on the gn first off i have the fat double core griffin alum radiater 14 or 15inc fan adj fuel reg and adj wastegate gutted cat it was making 10psi gutted cat it shot up to 17psi on a mech guage so iv ordered all glow shift gauges temp,oil,fuel,wideband,and tach,thinking about the egt also .i have ahole doner engine soi was gonna send intake and the heads to the machine shop what else want to push towards 4 or 5 mostly street ..and sad note my 84 t top cuttlas is totld so i cut the tops off and this winter ill put them on the gn;) and i want to change the ecm...................thanks
 
no input:( just sayin....is the egt a good tool to have i dont want to get a t link cuase when i change comp i will have to get a scanmaster right,will i be able to tune with what i have now?

I personally would forget about the Scanmaster and get a powerlogger instead. I also would get a wideband for tuning purposes in lieu of an EGT. Tuning without these two tools is nothing but guesswork. This is my two cents. Brad
 
will the glowshift wideband be good for it and do u have the 87 86 ecm in your car? all my guages are glowshift and can i use the powerlogger with the 85 ecm? thanks
 
ya i was looking at that the outher day i just have to change the ecm ...when the rest of my guages arive im gonna order a fuel pump ,whats the best to get 340.its basically just street i wanna shoot for 4or500 i still have my aeromotive pump out of the ttbuild i just looked it up here is the specs a750 700 na 500 forced induction ..i guess it will work its just a big pump id rather just put one in the tank and be done with it

I run a Walbro 340 and run mid twelves. I also use 42.5 injectors and a hot wire kit. Fueling is not a issue at these levels. Brad
 
stopped at my buddys junk yard and got the 1227148 ecm switched the small chip with mine fired right up ses is on but thats just until i run a mat senser right ?and just to be clear now im converted to a 86 87 ecm now i can get the power logger and update my coil pack also is there anything else i need to do ? thanks george

You will have to get a new chip from TT and either have him program out the IAT or add it from Caspers. The coil module and coil pak will be needed to be upgraded to the 86/87 when the 84/85 setup fails. Caspers sells the adapter plate and wiring harness adapter. Brad
 
so the 85 coil and module are good for now?and should i keep the iat or delete it and i noticed that its idiling better but in acceleration i hear a faint rattle wasnt there this morning before the ecm swap ......thanks
 
bought some 16/8 billits yesterday and put the gbody tripple guage piller in wasnt direct fit but very nice product ...and nouthin a little carbide bit couldnt fix;).and the rims look good on it ,now if the rest of my guages come in i can start tuning a little

Keep the 84/85 coil pak and module for now and save a few bucks. The IAT really does very little and is not needed. Some people like it just to be a purist. That is why you can have it programmed out of a TT chip. Brad

chips in the mail and im gonna grab the scanmaster this week too,hows the works ta 34 turbo i was loooking at it anyone on the board have success with it ,
 
got the other engine broke down don't know exactly what i will do to it yet, but that's why it says time to buy some goodies ..maybe a stroker kit ....... i made a 2.5 uppipe today big difference in spool time can't believe how restricted the stock one was....here's some pics ..- George

put the tt chip in and scanmaster ran a few runs and its running good no knock all my numbers look good but then it started to rain:( gonna have to play tommorow and do some more tuning ...anything i should not set by the book....
