I am getting my car ready for the Molly Ride in april next year. It is a lot of driving for me (1400 miles in 3 days) and I like to be sure I don't have any issues. Car currently has about 50k miles on it and runs 25 psi of boost with Alky. I thought I heard someone say some engines had a plastic lined (tooth) cam sprocket? How long do the typically last on average? Debating on putting new one in before I do the drive. There was a lot of carnage last year and I don't want to join that club.
I had my eye on the pro-gear set from Weber racing engines.
Thanks!
