I think if you read back through some of the threads about timing chain sets, you will probably find that those using double roller sets prefer billet sprockets. Maybe you know this already.

I could not find where Rollmaster discusses the construction of their timing sprockets. Comp Cams appears to be selling cast iron cam sprockets in their Buick V6 timing sets.

I am planning to use TA's V1522B. This is the stock style timing set that uses the factory tensioner.

Check this thread out: problem removing cam sensor. There's a lot of good info there.

Between those two choices, I'd go rollmaster. Make sure to remove that stupid little 'flap' inside the timing cover on the cam sensor bore if you go Rollmaster.

If you don't have a huge flat tappet or roller, I'd go with an OEM replacement set with a tentioner.

Comp cams or roll master?

I think only Cloyes and Rollmaster have billet gears in the double roller sets. Edelbrock and Comp are not billet gears. However do a search and I think the T/A link chain is the way to go, Billet gears and silent chain that can still use a tensioner.
