With my current wheel setup the rear tires rub slightly on the wheel well molding with a 275-50-15, a 1/4" more to the inside and it would probably clear.

Question is will going to a 255-60-15 get me the 1/4" to tuck inside the wheel well? and is there any negative going to a 1" taller tire? Would rather not go to a 235-60 tire as I would loose 2" of width.

Mickey Thompson ET Streets:
275-50-15, Diameter=26" /Sec. Width=11.3" /Tread=10.5"
255-60-15, Diameter=27" /Sec. Width=10.1" /Tread=9"

Thanks;)

From what I can see, You would be coming in more than 1/4" on either side. There is realy no issues with going with a taller tire persay. Your speedometer will be a bit off, and you will loose a bit of low end. The advantage is though that you will be able to MPH a bit better on the track since the taller tire is effectivley changing the gear ratio of the car.

Heres this though.....it helped me out quite a bit when I was working on my tire fitment: Tire Height/Width Calculator
