Hopefully this will be the last time for this. I have recently put on a set of 275/60 BFG's on 15x8 weld draglites with 3.5" back spacing. They have LOTS of clearance between the frame. When i hit big bumps they rub the wheel molding. When i launch the car, the right rear tire hits the wheel well. I ordered airbags. They should be here by wednesday. Will these cure my problem?? How much air should i run?? 5 driver, 15 passenger?? Also, i have 15x6 draglites with 3.5" backspacing for the front. I was thinking 225/70's for the front. I need something that will not rub but will keep the car looking somewhat level. Please help me out.

You could also trim the inside lip of the wheel well "just a bit" if the tire still hits with the air bags. You have the correct pressures for starting with air bags.

You say you have lots of room on the inside with 3 1/2" backspace? If you added 1/2" more backspace would it fix your problem? or do you think they would rub on the inside? The reason I ask is, I have Draglites with 4 1/2 " backspace. I'm thinking of using a 1/2" spacer and long wheel studs to get a 4" backspace with your same tire combo. What is your opinion?
Feedback sppreciated,
Larry

I think a 4" Back spacing would work. I don't want to change my wheels, buy new tires, or modify my wheel wells. Hopefully airbags fix the problem. Anyone have info on the front tires?
