what size tires would you guys put on these rims i think they are 15" x 7" what size tire do i put on them i was thinking about a 265/50/15 in the rear what would you recommend for the front with this combo. i do not like the way the car looks on 275/60/15 its to damn high and 215/60/15 in the front to high....

or how does the 255/60/15 tire look on all 4 corners and will this size be a little bit better traction wise then the 225/60/15's that are on there now.

what do you guys recommend, i got a blow out today and i need to p/u a set of tires tommorrow.

please get back a.s.a.p.

Stock is 215/65/15's all around
You could run 235/60's up front(no rubbing) and 275/50's out back to keep the speedometer correct, still looks mean.

how funny would 235/60/15's or 215/60/15's in the front look with 265/50/15's in the rear look.

is there any other combo i can go with besides the 275/50/15 tire in the back, that tire is so damn expensive cause of the profile is there anything i can use front and rear 60 series.
please get back a.s.a.p.

I guess a 255/60/15 would be a good compromise then. It would still be taller than the 275/50, but not as tall as the 275/60.
You could go 235/60's all around as well, but traction won't be amazing, unless you went to a 235/60 drag radial. Then again it all depends on the $$$$$$$$:)

but how would the 215/60/15's in the front with 265/50/15's in the rear look would the car br up in thr front and low in the backl whats the difference in profile height one compared to the other,,, thats what i want to know.
i wonder if they make a 215/50/15 or 225/50/15 i doubt it but i still do wonder......

For everyday use, 235/60's in front and 255/60's in back is a good combination with T wheels. TR's like tall tires in back.

Don't put small 50's in front (unless you have 16" wheels). With big tires in back, the car will handle like a steamroller and not want to turn (unless you run a big rear sway bar and crank in negative camber up front) They will also wear out pretty quick.

I have:
255/60's on the back
235/60's on the front
I think the look is perfect, but I will consider wider in the back next time around, you know, traction problems. :D
My fronts rub in sharp turns, but I think it's because the front end is tired and sags.

Pics below if you want to see (website), but the old 215's were on the front then . Sorry about the crappy photo's

Hello Russty.
Way back when I first got my 86 T-Type, I was in the same boat, well, sorta. My car still had the original 215/65/15 Eagle GT's on the front, but the rears didn't last long. I decided to go with the BFG 265/50/15's on the back. Fit was perfect, height difference was little too none, due to the age of the springs, and shocks. Ride was ok, and hook was much better. Price on the BFG 265's is still the same today as it was back then. $99.00 a piece.
Anywho, just my O2's worth.

Patrick

how about 215/60/15's in the front and in the rear 265/50/15's what about this combo will this look ugly i can get a good deal on the 265's for $70 dunlop's..

also pondering the though of 225/60/15's in the front and 255/60/15's but i do not want to spin the tire as much....thinking hopefully the 265 can hold...

This will tell you everything you need to know:

http://www.aros.net/~rbuck/rick/bfg.html

Remember, the stock tire diameter is about 26.1". The stock wheel width is 7.0". IME, if you THINK it's too short, or too tall, or too thin, or too fat, it probably IS.

Not being able to rotate your tires blows. Rubbing or cutting your tires blows even more.

All the tires you should be interested in are less than $100 from BFG.

Now, see if you can do this without making the same mistakes at least half of the guys on this board make...

:D
