Ok, Im not really having much trouble with Knock(unless rocking 93 with 20psi:eek: ). Im wanting to run as safe and fast with my combo as possible!

I have a Buick Headed 3.8L LC2 in my 90 Firebird, which kit do I need? I do not have a Map Sensor wired in, the stock GN MAP is hooked up on the vacuum side only. Someone hold my hand and show me the way haha!

The Combo and times in my sig were showing around 5 degrees of knock retard(on a 93/110 octane mix). I plan to at least add a duttweiler neck to the IC and a few other goodies

does your car have the gn harness? If so does it have a three wire connector for the map sensor or an L -shaped 2 wire plug?

Yes it has a GN Harness and the 3 wire connector. Does it connect straight into the ecm from that harness?

yep! Mine, a Digital Dash car had to have a 5 volt feed to the sensor wiring to work properly. I have razors kit and it works great. Great instructions and support from Razor

I was curious because @ C434 under the dash, I didnt tap into the MAP because they are unnecessary for swaps and didnt know if it mattered or not.

What readings(5v, 12v ground etc) should I be seeing at the 3 wire connector @ the MAP?

5 volt
signal voltage
ground.

Im not good with connector numbers LOL!

Oh, its a clear connector under the dash near the ECM. By signal voltage, I presume you are referring to whatever the MAP is translating from boost/vacuum? ALso, will I need to convert to a 3 bar MAP? Im trying to get all my ducks in line lol

Yes thats what I mean by signal. Your are on the right track. A good alky chip is going to help too. I got mine from Eric@ Turbo Tweak. He has done two for me and one for a friend. I ran 25 psi and 25 degrees of timing. My non-alky friends could not believe their eyes! Took me a little time to get tuned in, but after that its great.

Nice, Looks like Ill be getting a kit sometime soon! THose TT Chips are great! I got a 93 street and 110 race chip(which I havent used yet). I guess Ill get a TTA Kit and Alky Chip and make it work!

Don't be afraid to buzz Razor. He is a cool dude and knows alot about these cars. Not just a vendor pushing parts.

I'll do what I can. I can also supply you a weatherpack for the MAP with a pigtail so you can wire in the +5 and ground. We also build 12 to 5 regulators with the 3 pin weather pack on one side to plug into the 3 bar, and the other side +12, ground and signal.

If you do decide to buy from me, just remember to mention it.

Thanks.

Julio

I definately would only buy one of your kits!! After all the good I hear about them, there is really no other choice in my head!! I need a price quote!!!
