There is alot of guys in here that don't know **** from shinola and I am one of them. My puprpose of this thread is to complement the guys with the patientance and knowledge to deal with us guys who ask the same old questions over and over and still respond to us. The cost of this info is invaluable. I got my little 85 up and running today with you alls help that would have cost several hundred dollars at a shop that I wouldn't know to trust or not. I have talked to a lot of hot rod guy's that won't touch these cars....scared I guess.! I'm not the fastest or the prettiest, but you know what .... I do look pretty damn good and run the same and thank all you guys for your help. To the MODERATOR. As you can tell...... I am happy 2night....!!!!

I got my 85 T-Type in 1996 and for the first year, this site became my favorite addiction :D. BFH, FJM568, TTYPE, 84TTYPE, and the imfamous Louie Arnold :D, more people than I came remember, always came to the rescue. I learn as everone else did. The amazing thing that I learn from BFH is that "no 84-85 GN/T Type is the same". I took my car to some "EXPERTS" and my car ran like DOG S@#T. That was my first lesson, "DON'T TRUST anyone who drives a intercooled car!" Second lession, DON'T buy intercooled parts. I started to learn from Louie, BFH, and others. I tuned my car and got it running perfect (sensors, correct spark plugs, and K&N Filter). I put some good gas (TurboBLUE) in the tank and turned up the boost to 17lbs. and went and slayed the EXPERT in a 1/8th mile race (with a snubber and a peg leg). One thing I have learn about a HOT AIR.... Trust your own ability......

Congrads.....

Glad to hear your car is running well. Happy to report mine is actually coming around. Life is good...

Hey Matt, glad you're up and running!

And thanks for the compliments Chuck!

And I should apologize for not getting into the thick of things like I used to...I went and started making & selling stuff for these cars, and the next thing you know, local business also picks up, and I'm working 3-to-5 extra hours every day (and most saturdays) just to keep up...sure did eat into my internet time!

And I'd like to thank everyone here in HOTAIR for being the best group on this board! :D
