well, i bought a 87 white turbo limited about a year and a half ago, never get to drive it because it sits in the garage and the broken cars sit behind it-
its a hardtop with grey cloth split bench, pounds of chrome, cornering lamps and a super clean car!!!

so anyway, i pull the cover off for the first time since JULY 2002, and it looks like a fly desided to poop all over the pass side fender, it actually looked like paint overspray, it was that bad!!!!

so i washed the car twice, and used my water blade to squeege the car off, then towel dried it.

well, that darned fly poop is still there and i didnt want to scratch the white paint using a towel, so i remembered i have this MOTHERS CLAY BAR from at least a few years ago since i saw it last-
i went diggin thru the cleaning supplies and found that ole yellow clay bar in a sandwich bag still soft as new :)
and got out the mothers quick detailer, shot the fender area and worked the clay bar over that area for about 5 minutes...
WOW, what a releif, now the fender is smooth as glass and no more poop!!!

for anyone who doesnt have a clay bar, you probably should get one for times like this, if i didnt have that bar, i probably would have scratched the surface with towels and cleaners getting that poop off the car-

i purchased mine out of a magazine about 4 years ago, i think WALMART sells them???

thought i would share

I usually use toilet paper when I wipe my poop!!!:D

Seriously, that is sweet that the clay bar worked for you, I have never used one before. I have never really had a need to. I have a friend that works at his dads body shop. He does all of the wet sanding and buffing at the shop. He hooks me up pretty well.

Also, just an assumption, You live in Kansas City right? On the Missouri or Kansas side. I used to live on the Missouri side, in Gladstone and also over by Metro North mall. My Grandma lives in Liberty.

i live in overland park kansas about 30 miles south of gladstone-

did you have your GN when you lived here? if so did you know shane huffman? he has a shop at 72nd and broadway right off OAK st in gladstone and works on GNs also-

liberty isnt too far either, i travel all over the city all day, so i know the city pretty good-

Claybars work great.

Since I own 2 black vehicles I always wanted to try a clay bar but I don't know where to get them around here..

Do they remove water spots?

Quick6, Unfortunately I don't own a GN anymore. It was stolen  and then recovered in Oakland, CA ( I live near there now). It was all messed up. To make a long story short, it belongs to my brother ( 87boosted6 on this site, boosted6 on Turbobuicks.com). He is planning on restoring/ modifying it. That is why I am missing my Buick.

And, no I didn't live there when I owned it, I lived there from the age of 5 to about 12. I am 23 now. I have visited occasionaly since then, mainly for funerals. I do enjoy going out there. It is a whole different world out there. I really like going to Crown Center. I used to love that place when I was a kid, especially at Christmas, they have the big Christmas tree.

Where is Overland Park in relation to Farley ? I have a friend that lives in Farley. I know it is a really small town.

O.P. is about 40 miles down I-35 from liberty, i live right off the dragstrip, i mean highway;)
never heard of farley, how about fairway? fairway is 10 miles NE of me-

crown center is really a beautiful area when the winter time comes, it kinda looks like the places they show in movies where everyone has a good time shopping for christmans presents during the holidays-
