Top engine clean..what to use?

Think I posted this in wrong section earlier. Need to do the Top engine Clean, but dealer said the stuff was discontinued. What can I use in it's place?

I just went through this and ended up using Seafoam from any local parts store.

Did you use the same process as doing the GM stuff? or are there other directions to the Seafoam?

I used it the same way. Using the pcv vac line I fed it in a little at a time while working the throttle. With a little left I let it go all at once to kill the car. Let it sit for 20 min then cranked it up and watched the show

top engine cleaner

back in the old days (it will work the same way on a turbo car )we used transmission fluid -- yep that is correct ,pour it down in to the carb in a steady pace with the rpms slightly up and then just let it die.After 30-45 minutes start it up and rev up the engine to 3000 k and scare the neighbours with all the white smoke ..:biggrin:
