I have tried the tornado on a 70 htq street turbo that was ta ta ta ing badly and it is working very well.but it seems like a big restriction in the maf pipe and would hurt performance at the track ,,,would a bov do the same job without a restriction

Why not run it at the track and post up some slips before and after, I don't think you're going to see anything + or - but ya never know.

There is a blow off that can help part throttle surge, a board member had it, I think it was a Blitz but not positive.

there is no surge ,just lots of noise ,so noisy that i caused one lady passenger in the car in the next lane to spill a drink on her self as i slowly passed their car at 60 mph..tatatata...she jumped in her seat,,,now with the tornado in place there is hardly any noise ,,,will a bov do the same

Im very surprised a tornado did anything. you should be using a blow off valve, if you dont want noise youll have to use a recirculating valve rerouted back into the intake. this will also solve any stalling or rough idne coming to idle from boost that some people see. look for a valve that has a hose shaped outlet. if it vents to the atmosphere it will be just as loud as what you have now. a recirc will be very quiet and actually prevent turbo surge.
hks makes a super sequential with a recirc adapter, and it is 2 stage, also it is a push type so there is no way for it to open under boost.

If you want the throttle slam noise to stop you need a BOV, but they're still noisy so it sounds like you want a BOV that recirculates.

If I understand it correctly..... the tornado... stops the turbo from surging..... not the sneeze you here when the throttle gets slammed closed.... that is where the BOV can help.... but they make noise as well....

that is why you need a recirculating bov. they do not make noise. instead of venting to the atmosphere where its audible it is vented into the intake after the air filter. canceling the noise. and subsequently eliminating maf issues from having a bov or even surge, because its still seeing the correct amount of air around it.

I would go with a synapse engineering BOV .02 cents

no way, this companies claim to fame was dissing tial by using a improperly installed tial bov. horrible form, and ethics if you ask me and disinformation from synapse, just my experience.

I run the tial Q bov, its there new one. anyone buying a new bov don't buy the old tials! There copies more then likely and are all old technology anyways. get the new tial Q bov if your going to run one.
