I need an in depth write on on installing my torque converter. I have looked on YouTube and I get install 2 clicks some say 3 clicks. I need the write up to cover filling also

When it's in the pump all the way you shouldn't be able to get you fingers behind it. When bolting the bell housing bolts, the converter should be a good 1/4 inch off the flex plate.....if its against the flex plate before the trans is on the motor the converter is not in the pump all the way.
Filling........if you had the pan off.....dump in 4 liters, start it up add another 3 and start checking with dipstick.

There the three engagement points, but no clicks. You first get the input shaft spline, then the stator shaft splines. These go in very easy. The last would be the pump hub into the pump rotor, that can sometimes be a challenge depending on manufacture of parts. The converter will bottom out on the pump rotor at which time base of converter hub should be almost against seal and should not see the converter hub. This would be seated all the way into pump rotor. Some converters are built off spec and this could change a little. Machined pumps can alter this also, but you can feel it bottom on rotor. After installed, check clearance from converter mounting pads to flexplate. It should be .125" to .188" spacing. If more shim to get the proper clearance in that range. I recommend as close to .125" as possible. Any questions feel free to contact me.
