Anyone have the specs on how to do this. Wanna make sure I do this right

Look for 1/8-3/16 gap between the flex plate and converter lugs when the converter is fully seated in the pump. Any less and you risk breaking the pump rotor tangs. Too much pull back could cause partial engagement between the converter hub and pump rotor or, in extreme cases, the hub can jump right out of the rotor.

I use an easy way to measure: Slide a drill bit between the wheel and the converter mt lug.
 
Doh! I meant one thing and typed another. 3/16 is the high limit as Chuck stated. I fixed my flub.
