torque strap question

I am getting tons of false knock too and am now wondering if it's the torq strap. not sure how this could be?? does the metal end links bang the frame and alt eyelet???

the car ran like a DOG with 12 deg of knock on 110 octane at low 18 psi street boost levels, I though it might be the TH downpipe banging.

don't want to unhook the knock sensor but the car is doing terrible even with good gas.

I used the turnbuckle type, and drilled a hole in the steel bracket instead of using the Alt bolt. Worked very well, untill I bought the Poly mounts, can't beat them, and my IC pipes lined up way better.

are you guys talking about the HR Part's N stuff poly mounts??

sounds like a plan, not a big fan of the look of the strap anyway.

rkreigh......at least i'm not the only one. it has to be either strap rattle or tightening things up to the point of banging elsewhere, such as the dp.

my opinion is remove the silly strap but do not remove the sensor wire.....you'll want to know if the real knock demon appears.

as haw. turbo said, poly mounts are a good thing to add to the list ....i've heard great things about them
