My car had the original accordion maf tube and a 9in kb filter smashed in there. I picked up a 3 in maf pipe and 9in k&n filtet from full throttle.

For the life of me I can not get it even close to fitting in there without smashing the shit out of the filter.

Are you guys relocating the charcoal canister? Or using a smaller filter?

I'm using the stock maf if that helps.

Thanks

They say a picture is worth a thousand words.

(not my car)

The pipe you bought is most likely designed with the charcoal canister missing.

There is two tabs on the bottom of the charcoal can. Take one of the bolts out while the other is loosened and you can rotate the can over some to give you a lil more room and simply put the bolt your removed back in the hole where it was.

You can drop it down on the frame. There is a bolt right there for it.

I have the same setup, and it was a bitch to get it installed, I know what you mean. I ended up removing the up pipe for some more room, and leaving everything loose until it was all in place, then tightened it up.

Thanks for the tips guys!! I ended up dropping it down to the frame for the time being.

All I have left to do is change the 02 sensor, pcv, and put in the new manual master cylinder.

Can't wait to be cruising around in it!!!!!

Just wondering, is it possible to move it to where the factory airbox used to be?

Not sure where that is? Didn't have on my car when I bought it.
It is on the frame next near the alternator where y'all were talking about earlier I think, I just dont know if I need to drill into it to get it to fit or just use one of the existing holes

Yup there was a tall bracket I took off and put the canister down there and used one of the holes for that bracket to mount it.

I re routed that one line so it wasn't so close to the ac pulley
