i havent had the time here lately to drop the trans and figure this one out and im not sure which this could be... at first i thought i spun a main bearing. car makes a ton of nois ewhen its running...(loud sqweeking and loud knocking) had it towed to the house. it sat for a few days i cranked it up the sound was gone... something i have noticed though is when i floor it the rpms will max out but the car wont down shift and it wont accelerate...stays at the speed i was with the rpms maxed... i was wondering if this could be a blown TC or a bad trans making all of this noise... i have a auto stethascope and was listening around on the TC cover and the rear of the block and its hard to pin point if the sound is from the tc or the crank... im should be able to drop the trans this weekend and will start it up w/o the trans to see if the sound is gone but... seein if anyone has ran into this before? thanks
