My TPS signal at the SM is corrupt. THe signal will drop toe zero and then bounce back up. I have checked the ground and they appear to be tight at the head. While driving the TC will be locked and then unlock just after the TPS drops then after the TPS goes back up the TC will lock again. Sometimes it will drop to zero and stay there for a few minutes and then the next time I can drive many miles and it will act perfect.

Which wire at the TPS should read what?
Which wires at the ECM are for the TPS?

The feed wire should read close to 5.0 volt.
Had a very similar issue. TPS replacement took care of it.

I had same issue had to replace the harness then it was fine, got a new harness from caspers electronics

Did you replace the entire engine wire harness? Seems extreme if I can just find out which wire carries which voltage.

I also had a similar occurance. Just replaced the TPS, and it was cured. Start with the easy stuff. Replace TPS

Replaced the TPS sensor and the scan master still shows .01-.03

I back probed the TPS sensor and now it reads correctly, guess I know where the problem lies. I have the pin removal tool at work but I am at home with the car, tomorrow I can look into that with the proper tool

Still having TPS issues. The connected wires are good but the tps signals still jump likes mad. At idle and engine off it bounces from .38 through .40 and engine off WOT it will jump from 4.6 to almost 5.0
