where can I get a new tps sensor for my 84 gn?
part store i went to said they could get me one but now they can't and i know it's not the cheap one. ($100 +)
casper electronics did not have one.
Please help me:confused:

From the Search function:

yay, found one
Well, I searched the archives and found a Holley part #:543-29

heres a picture of what its supposed to look like:

It works the same way, but the plug comes straight out, so making adjustments by pulling upward on the sensor won't cause it to poke a hole through the hoodliner.

I went to summitrracing.com, they have the part for $34.99, but you'll have to pay at least an $8.00 s&h fee.

I went to Kragen Auto to try to order it, $46.99 was the price, but they couldn't order it becuase of their stupid computers.

Thirdly, I went to Autozone, and they had trouble looking it up at first, but finally found it at a price of $29.99. Sweet.

Remember, its a Holley part #, so Summit will have the part listed as HLY-543-29, and retail stores will have to look the part up by manufacturer.

Hope this helps anyone in the future.

i know in O'reilly's and AutoZone they have different levels of quality in their electronics. This $29.99 how is it working? I mean I love a good deal, but sometimes you get what you pay for. I don't like switching and buying a new one every few months, I'd rather buy a good one for more money once.
I don't like getting cought with cheap parts, but I need a TPS too.

I believe the one their talking about from Auto Zone is the Holley part.
Remember Auto Zone does sell "name brand" stuff. Depending on what it is it may not stocked at the store, so you'll need to order it (usually only takes one day, sometimes two). I remember getting my Accel coil through Auto Zone for a bit less than if I had ordered it from Summit or Jegs.

I still have not found one that is the right one for my car.
CarQuest 180.55
Napa 145.99
Advance Auto 160.99+5.00 shipping
E&R Auto 199.95
Bob Spady Buick Dealrship 212.99

All of the above other then Bob Spadys can NOT get one because thay say they are all discontinued and can no longer get them.
Found one in Summit for 34.99 #HLY543-29 But called to order it they sead the same thing that they cant get it eather.

People keep saying they can get one threw Casper Elec but cant find it on web page.

Casper's Electronics: (847)247-0484, email- //www.casperselectronics.com
Also try Poston Enterprises: (800)635-9781, they have a website but Im not sure what the address is. Do a search. Casper's may have one now, but not sure.
