Tranny going out???

Got in the car to come home yesturday after an interview at CSULB. Turned onto the major street, car shifted in 2nd pretty firm (like always). But half way into 2nd the car jerked a few times (like it was shifting but really wasn't). This lasted for about 3 signals, and only in 2nd gear (until the tranny got hot i guess) then cleared right up to normal...Anyone got any ideas??? Thanks!

Possibly 2-3-2-3 shuttle IF speed was steady.Transmission can't
"decide" whether it should be in second or third.

Is there any way to cure this?? Or is it time to rebuild?? Car has 120,xxx miles.

could have also been the TCC lockup switch locking and unlocking the torque convertor too early.

Is there any way to check for the lock up switch, or anything else for that matter?? Or would I have to just take it somewhere and have it checked out?? thanks a lot.
