At the track last year, the weather was in the 50s, and if the car sat for a long period of time, the trans did not want to shift gears. It seems ok when the trans has some heat in it. Also it seems worse when I throw a lot of boost at it. Any ideas?

TIA

What's the history on the transmission? Is it the original transmission? Has it been rebuilt? If so, recently? Have you changed the fluid/filter lately?

Transmission has about 6,000 miles on it. Rebuilt with Level 10 kit. Trans fluid and filter was changed last summer.

OK. Now more questions.

Did the transmission ever have this problem prior to the rebuild? Has the transmission acted this way ever since the rebuild or was there a period of time where it worked correctly?

The original trans worked near perfect. The trans worked fine all the way up to last fall. I was thinking maybe I should try the pan spacer and 700 filter before taking it in.

Pulling the pan wouldn't be a bad idea at this point if not just to see what's lurking in there and to get fresh fluid in the system.
