I had my tranny rebuilt around 5k miles ago, and just did the first service to it on Friday. Also installed a drain plug on Friday, since Art Carr didn't send the correct drain with all my parts 5k miles ago. Now, no matter how tight I get the plug, it's still leaks! Anything I can do besides buy an aftermarket pan with a drain already in it? The drain plug is a Nut welded to the inside of the pan, and a plug with gasket on the bottom of the pan.

What kind of drain plug gasket is it?

If it's a nylon gasket, good luck getting it to seal. A much better idea is a captured O-ring gasket, like most of the OEMs use now for oil pan drain plugs. It's a metal washer with a molded in O-ring. They won't crush out from under the drain plug and deform like the nylon ones, and seal much better.

it is the nylon gasket, I'll go look for one of those captured o-ring gaskets, THANKS!
