Tranny or Cable?

"Flares" during 2-3 shift as if it can't figure out what to do.
TV cable will only click once on adjustment, leaving 6 notches showing.
Think it's the cable or the tranny that is fubar?

WHAT DOES "FLARES" mean. I have seen this term before but never understood what it means???????

Flairing is like slip,the tranny slips at the shift as it is happening. As long as the TV is correct it sounds like you'll need a rebuild.
