Hi Nick,
I read your cure of leaky pan gasket bolts, so I got Permatex Thread Sealant with PTFE. ( Advance didn't have Teflon paste sealer)
You also wrote to install the gasket dry; do you think it's OK to double the gasket and place RTV in between the gasket and then place it dry? My now problem is the tranny gasket is leaking a little some on the threads , but also I can see the gasket between the pan and tranny housing is wet and seeping through a little. I have placed rubber gasket, and also fiberglass/rubber compound gasket and still leaks a little. I took a straight edge level to pan cover and found to be straight with no light seeing through. As you can see is getting boring, and tired of removing the tranny oil, tranny cover, and replacing different gaskets in trying to stop this leak. Any thoughts would be appreciated.
