Tranny problem

Hi, when the car is cool the tranny seems to shift ok but after driving for a while after it heats up real good there seems to be a buffeting on the down shifts when i come to a stop, almost like tapping the brakes repeatedly. Also, after the shifts it drops to many rpm's and i guess i would describe it as a lagg. Any ideas?

Lock up

Sounds like the lock up solnoid.
Mine was doing the same thing last year
replaced the solonoid and problem went away
Thing is tranny only had about 200 miles on it since rebuild
but it had been sitting for 4 years before i got it.
They say the solonoids can fail just from age as well as use.

ya mine has about 4k on since the rebuild as well.
