I have a relatively low mileage (76K mi) out of an '85GN. It worked great the last time the car was driven about 8yrs ago before the frame rotted in two. Im wanting to use the tranny in a new project IM working on. I pulled the pan and it looked immaculate inside. Will long periods of inactivity hurt trannies or torque converters? If not, what should be done other seals and gaskets to get it ready?

It's no different than when people just let their low mile cars just sit for years and years and then they fire them right up and go. You should do the same thing and not worry about it.:D

Sounds great to me...thanks. From what Ive read the 200-4R is a relatively tough tranny...Im giving her a go:cool:
